What is ADSL

A very high speed Internet Connection. The speed ranges from 384Kb to 6Mb per second, depending on the level of service that you desire, and your distance from your telephone company central office. The upload speed ranges from 128Kb to 384Kb per second. This is more than fast enough for applications such as video conferencing, and real time video.

An always on connection. Anytime your computer is turned on, the connection to the Internet is on too. There is nothing you have to do to connect your computer to the Internet. Any time you launch a program that requires the Internet, the access is immediate.You can also leave your ICQ program, or other chat software on all the time. You will never miss another call again!

No extra telephone line is required. The ADSL service is added to your existing telephone service. You may use your telephone and the ADSL Internet Connection simultaneously. Any other telephone features such as call waiting, three way calling, call forwarding, caller ID, etc, will function as before. The two services do not interfere with each other at all. If you already have a dedicated telephone line for your computer, you can either discontinue it, or you can use it as a 2nd line for calls.

ADSL is a secure connection. Your ADSL connection is a virtual connection directly to your provider. There are no other computers using your line. You are not sharing your bandwidth with anyone else, so your connection does not slow down due to other ADSL users being on line.
